At the upcoming 12th meeting on Adult Congenital Heart Disease (EuroGUCH 2021) meeting we are organizing an webinar as satellite symposium on May 5th at 12 o’clock CET. The webinar is entitled “MRI guided procedures- lessons from pediatric cardiology”. During the 30 min symposium prof. Ewert (German heart centre Munich) will explain his center journey into MRI hemodynamics and its current use. Subsequently, Dr Suren Reddy (UTSW-Dallas Children’s) will show the recent advances made in the field of interventional MRI in single ventricle patients. . We are happy to welcome you during the meeting. As was noted by dr Thomas Krasemann (Rotterdam) as comment to our LinkedIn post ” Important to realize how many procedures were pioneered in Pediatric Cardiology (i.e. transcatheter valves, balloon valvoplasties, certain stent procedures, devices…). We are dealing with orphan diseases and hence have the need to be creative. To protect our vulnerable patients we try to reduce radiation use whenever we can. Again, MRI guided interventions for structural cardiac problems have been pioneered in Pediatrics. Great that the title of this seminar already acknowledges this! “
